You're quite welcome and really, it's no trouble at all. Believe me, people have asked me far more impractical questions.
And honestly? For many of the people here, I come from a world hundreds of year ahead of their future. Yet somehow? These handy little cellular telephones haven't been invented. Probably due to the fact that radio communications weren't exactly thriving like they used to be... but still, I definitely agree that they're extremely practical.
As for your questions... I'll try and save you the earful of an answer. I come from an Earth that's basically been obliterated by nuclear war. Civilization isn't thrives on in its own, desperate sort of way. But it's a life they're used to. Even comfortable with. My physical body now was invented around 115 years ago. Right around the rise of post-war artificial intelligence. My prototype wasn't exactly supposed to be like this. I was supposed to be a free thinking individual. Entirely unique.
Which... still happened. In a way. I ended up receiving the memories of a pre-war police officer. I still feel like him and I suppose in a lot of ways... I am him. At times my memories before the war are clearer than the ones I have as a synth.
Again, an earful. And I apologize for that. The hacker part is a bit easier to explain. Nothing too complex. Just a skill and hobby I picked up while working as a detective. As you can imagine, it comes pretty easily to me. It's almost like how you, as a human, might speak another language to someone from another country. Not sure if it's common. All synths are relatively technologically savvy, but I'm not sure how many really utilize their skill.
